Liberty Immigration Law is a Stockholm firm for people who need Swedish immigration law explained in plain language. We act for individuals, families and employers — from the first question to the decision, and on appeal if that is the right next step.
Most people who contact us are not looking for a lecture on the Aliens Act. They have a job offer, a spouse in Sweden, a study place, or a decision they do not understand. They need to know what the authority will actually ask for, how long it usually takes, and whether the file they already have is enough.
We read the facts before we talk about fees. If the case is weak, we say so. If a document is missing, we name it. If an appeal is unlikely to succeed, we do not file one for the sake of activity.

Visits are by appointment. Many first meetings are held by video, especially when the client is outside Sweden. Correspondence is in Swedish or English.
The work is practical. We prepare applications, review files that are already open, and represent clients before the Migration Agency and the migration courts.
First-time work permits, extensions, change of employer and questions around the EU Blue Card. We check the employment contract, the salary level and the insurance terms against what the Agency requires, before the application is sent. Employers who recruit from outside the EU can ask us to review the offer and the timeline.
Residence permits for a spouse, cohabiting partner or child. These cases turn on the relationship, the maintenance requirement and the documents that show both. We go through what you already have and what is usually missing. Families with a case already pending can ask for a file review.
Permanent residence and Swedish citizenship. Habitual residence, conduct and identity documents are checked before an application is filed. If a previous decision was a refusal, we assess whether an appeal is realistic before any deadline is used.
Study permits, extensions after studies, and matters that have stalled. We also assist with requests for reconsideration and with appeals where the decision can still be challenged.
You hear what is strong in the case and what is weak. We do not dress up a thin file. A clear no at the start is more useful than a long process that ends in a refusal you could have avoided.
You meet the same lawyer from the first call to the decision. There is no hand-off to an anonymous handler, and no call centre between you and the person who signed the submission.
The firm is based in Stockholm. We work with Swedish procedure every week: how the Migration Agency asks for supplements, how a migration court reads a file, and what a realistic timetable looks like.
A case with us follows the same order, whether it is a work permit or an appeal.
No lawyer can promise a permit. The decision sits with the Migration Agency or the court. What we can promise is a careful reading of your facts, a complete file, and an honest view of the chances before you spend time and money.
Individuals already in Sweden or still abroad. Families split across borders. Employers who need a work permit sorted before a start date. We also take over cases that another adviser has started, if the file can still be saved.
A small team, on purpose. You know the name of the person who has your case.
