Work permits
Applications, extensions and a change of employer.
We review the employment contract, the offered salary, the insurance and the employer’s ability to meet the Agency’s requirements. A first-time permit and an extension are not the same case. A change of employer has its own rules and its own timing. Employers can instruct us directly when they are recruiting from outside the EU and need the permit in place before a start date.
Family reunification
Residence permits for a spouse, partner or child.
These cases are decided on the relationship and on the maintenance requirement. We go through the evidence you have — registration, correspondence, travel, shared finances — and the documents the Agency usually asks for later. If a case is already pending, we can review the file and say what is still missing before a deadline.
Permanent residence and citizenship
The longer path, after years in Sweden.
Habitual residence, conduct and identity must be in order before an application is worth filing. We check the timeline against the rules that apply to your permit type. If a previous application was refused, we look at the reasons and at whether an appeal is realistic before the appeal period ends.
Studies and other permits
Study permits, extensions and stalled files.
A study permit has its own maintenance and admission requirements. After studies, the route into work is a different application. We also take matters that have stopped: a request for a supplement that was never answered, or a decision that can still be reconsidered.
Appeals
When a refusal can still be challenged.
An appeal is only useful if the decision is wrong on the facts or on the law, and if the deadline has not passed. We read the decision and the file before we recommend an appeal. If the better route is a new application, we say that instead.
